Ol told Sissi her story, during one of her visits to the social workshop:
"My name is Ol Heang and I am so happy to meet you. My colleagues have already told me a lot about you.
This is my story: I am very grateful for my life because I lost my sisters in the Khmer Rouge war. After the war, Cambodia was full of landmines, even today there are still some out there. Twenty-five years ago I had a tragic accident. I was in the countryside with my husband, we were going to find a nice place to live. I was walking through the forest when suddenly I stepped on something that exploded immediately. I lost both my legs. Look, I want to show you our wedding picture - don't I look beautiful there?
After the accident, my life turned around 180 degrees. I started to embroider and sew at home and now and then I visit our workshop in Phnom Penh. I am very happy when people appreciate my work and buy my small pieces.
I wish you good luck!"
