THE REFISHED STORY
HOW IT ALL STARTED
In 2012, Sissi Vogler, who was born in Salzburg, took a career break and traveled through Southeast Asia. Colourful fish feed and cement sacks were constant companions on her journey, catching her sight on every corner. Inspired by these sacks, she finally had a brilliant idea: The sacks were simply too beautiful to be thrown away. So why not just make bags and other accessories out of the durable material? Said and done. Back in Austria, Sissi got to work and developed her first upcycling collections #CEMENT and #FISH, which were launched in 2012.
In the meantime she also launched her #FLAGS collection made from used flag material from local Viennese museums and a SHOE collection, stylish espadrilles made from leftover cotton.
STYLE AND ETHICS ARE NO CONTRADICTION!
We would like to contribute to changing the consciousness of the typical mass consumer. In the future, everyone should ask themselves WHERE a product comes from and WHO made it. Each REFISHED item therefore not only shows the location and the material of the product, but everyone who sews it also signs their finished product with their name. In the PEOPLE section all people involved are presented.
WE ♥ UPCYCLING
There are so many things that just get thrown away when it makes more than sense to reuse them or make something great out of them. Apart from the fact that you can make yourself or others very happy with our upcycled unique pieces, there is another bombastic side effect: the environment is no longer burdened by unnecessary waste!

12 years REFISHED!
It's been 12 years since Sissi Vogler had the brilliant idea while traveling trough Southeast Asia: the colorful fish food and cement bags were simply too beautiful to be thrown away. That was the starting signal for the Fair Fashion Label REFISHED!
